IT'S WHO I AM

I am a former high school art teacher near Lafayette, LA.  I spent my childhood in a rural area near New Roads, LA playing outdoors and living in a world where imagination and creativity were encouraged. That environment allowed me to see the world differently than most, and I use those experiences to enhance my artwork today.

I have a Bachelor of Art in Art Education from Louisiana Tech University. After college, I began a family and used my creativity in every aspect of my life as a mom. I spent time working for the Acadiana Center for the Arts in both the PACE and Bright New Worlds programs which allowed me to create unique projects and work with a variety of students. I also taught as a middle school and high school art teacher at Ascension Episcopal School. My time in the schools allowed me to follow my passion for teaching and share my enthusiasm for art. In 2020 I committed to working as a full-time artist and showcasing my work at galleries and attending artisan markets in the South.  Creating has always felt like play for me and my excitement and fulfillment can be found in every piece I create.
